Mosaic Monday: "Snow" Extreme Sledding!

***WARNING - SNOW MANY PHOTOS***
Everything about this post is extreme!!! From the numerous amount of photos, to the amount of snow, and the awesome sledding displayed throughout the day! We had an "Extreme Sledding Contest" this afternoon, each of the kids did a great job and were very creative with their dismounts off the ramp!
Tonight I am too tired to write the post, so I will be back tomorrow to fill in the blanks, so for now just enjoy the images below! I'm off to snuggle with my hubby by the fire:)

**Note: No child was harmed during the shooting of these photos.**

Ken took these for me & Ethan! Thanks Babes!

Ethan was in NO way left out of the fun:)

Orion's most extreme shot!

Go Monica!

Maddy & Orion

Ethan took it to the next level of extreme! Every time he came down,
he yelled either... "That's AWESOME!" or "EXTREME!"

Watch the expression on Orion's face change throughout this set.
And yes, Ethan was just fine, see photo below:)

In fact, he was quite proud of himself!

"Snow" Happy Together!

Hot Cocoa, yummy! Made a thermos to keep the kid-os going!
Mommy & Daddy had some delicious coffee!

Shadow Shot Sunday #3!

So this week I have been quite playful with shadows:) And this one was by far my favorite shot this week. Used this bit of handed-down lace (one of my favorites from my Grandmother) in an apron I have been working on for a swap. Turned to notice this strong shadow from the morning light shining on it, thought it was just beautiful.

Shadow from my hand-painted martini glass for a swap.
Do you see what I see? :) Love this shot!

Light from a cracked door.

Reflection off our laundry basket onto the kitchen floor.

Shot this while taking some photos of my Martini Madness Apron and noticed the shadow of the reverse material showing through the fabric, thought it looked very interesting.

The guys reading a few comics, old school G.I. Joe,
used to be my husband's.

Taken tonight, right before we came in
from sledding, most of the evening!

A little 'play on photos' for V-Day:)

Happy Early Valentine's Day!

Special thanks to Hey Harriet for featuring one of my shadow shots in her weekly mosaic of participants, second mosaic, seventh shot in. If you want to check it out and other awesome shadow shots go here. Thanks again I am quite honored!

Happy SSS!

Happy Bench Monday: Stairway to Cleaning!

Here is my second attempt at Bench Monday! Have been cleaning today and wanted to make it seem a little more glamorous. Thanks to my hubby for the title:) On my Flickr page it's dubbed: Glamorous Duties!, thinking of changing that now. Washer/dryer are located in my basement, so the lighting was, well, almost nonexistent, but I still think it turned out pretty great!

Wish all of you could have seen me scrambling up the lower step stool, to get on top of the washer, only to have the lid pop-in every time I stepped up on the crayola stool. Then I had to grab the mop, cram myself between the washer and air register (directly above me), position my feet & balance. All in the span of 10 seconds & in a kick ass pair of high heels! It was an awesome challenge and great fun!
Happy Bench Monday!

Mosaic Monday: All Aboard!

Ashland Train Day!
Last year our annual Ashland Train Day post was skipped over:( Thought it might be nice to fashion a mosaic, or two & share in the fun! All Aboard!!!

Train Day means: chilly car picnics, happy colorful fall leaves, excited little boys, trains, trains, trains, railroad tracks, model train sets, conductors, traintickets, coffee, hobby shop, ice cream parlor, tractor train, balloons, cookies, choo-choo clapping,  kettle corn eating kind of day! My husband and I love the small atmosphere feeling.
